Canada

Marking and Labeling

It doesn't sound like a particularly exciting topic, but it's absolutely critical to your success in entering the Canadian market.  For example:

  • Did you know that anything sold at that ever present point-of-sale (POS) display at the end of aisle 4 in Canadian Tire must have bilingual (English/French) labeling?

  • Did you know that the standard size 303 can that American's use for everything from soup to nuts isn't accepted under Canadian packaging requirements?

  • Did you know that metric is the preferred labeling standard?

The following are some helpful guides to assist you in determining what's right for you.
